I returned home on May 26th. Unfortunately, I was not vaccinated,
however, Canada Border Control do not care if you are, or aren’t. Some friends have been vaccinated, both
shots, for a while, but they still had to go through the same routine as me.
The good thing was that I made it
home. I had to quarantine 3 days in
Toronto (Pearson) and the rest at home.
This was not my plan, but transit through the States was not possible,
despite the authorization I received from U.S. Customs.
Everyone wore masks on the plane, except when eating/drinking. The plane from La Palma to Madrid was close to full, and the same from Madrid to London Heathrow. The plane from London to Toronto was maybe a quarter filled.
Cost of 3 day stay - $403.65. There was a cold breakfast in a lunch bag. This was actually tasty, once heated in the
microwave - small cheese burger with a fruit salad. Supper had to be ordered out – there was an
adjacent fast food place, which delivered to your room. Not bad…
The taxi from Pearson to the hotel was
paid by the quarantine hotel. Return
taxi to the airport $20. When I arrived
home, I ordered groceries from my local supermarket, and finished the
quarantine.
