There are many smaller water reservoirs in and around Puntagorda, with the smallest ones – maybe 3mx3m – being on residential properties.
With the big reservoir in service, some
of the private ones are no longer used, except maybe for irrigating the citrus
and avocado orchards.
Some are not even serviceable anymore,
having cracked and leaked, with no one interested in fixing them.
Nice sunny weather today – high of 15C – maybe a degree or two cooler up at the reservoir.
Perfect day for hiking, and a cold beer afterwards.
