Going down to the shore is about a 15 minute walk, but it is rocky, not a beach. Might be another 15 minutes to an actual beach.
Pointe Noir is really not a place for beaches. Those are a few kms south towards Bouillante or further north at Deshaires and beyond - the real beach resort places.
Probably one of the nicest weeks in Guadeloupe so far - nice, cool mornings and even the humidity is not super high. Otherwise, the rapid rise in temperature later in the morning as per usual.
The Airport here has two terminals, adjacent. The taxi took me to the wrong terminal - took a while to figure that out and then walked to the other. Still had a hour to wait before boarding, so time for a large Heineken beer. Very modern airport, as one would expect at any French overseas territory. All went well from then on, including landing at Montreal and a taxi ride home.
