thought Cruz de Tejeda was higher, but it is actually a few meters less. It is just that the climb is much steeper.
The
climb up Cruz de Tejeda is as much as 16.5% grade – but as the road sign said,
12% average. It is the length of it
that is a killer.
Was not really sure of what to expect, despite the research I did earlier, but safe to say, this ride beat all my expectations.
