On Sunday, October 1st, Holland America cruised the Glacier Bay National Park, all day until 4 pm. This Park is part of a 25-million-acre World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO.
Normally, the park is under fog or raining, but today was sunny. The Ship pulled in right next to the Margerie Glacier - there were park rangers on board to brief us.
We saw the Fairweather Peak, which very few people have seen.
Many people were outside on the deck – a photographer’s dream.
For dinner, I had French onion soup with short ribs, Caesar salad, roasted rack of veal, and for dessert, custard trifle and a beer.
