On Tuesday, February 27th, we flew to Iguazu Falls, a World Heritage Site. Avanti picked us up at the Brick Hotel and drove us to the local airport.
We left our luggage
at the Brick Hotel, and took only a travel bag each. The plane was full, and
the flight was just under two hours.
At the Airport, Avanti again met us, and took us to the Melia hotel, which is located in the National Park. The rooms each had a balcony.
The guide gave us tickets to the train the next day,
and made arrangements to pick us up at the hotel.
After a late lunch of fish and chips, salad and a
local beer ($25), we went for a walk (you
simply walk out the back door of the hotel) and within 15 minutes, had seen an
alligator (cayman) and about 40 South America raccoons.
I had a pizza and coke in the bar for dinner ($20).
