Thursday, Sept 13 – Super Shuttle picked
us up at the hotel (full van) and drove us to the airport for our flight to Seattle.
You will enjoy staying at the Orchard
Hotel ($340/n) – quiet, not too
expensive, and the front desk staff and doormen were very helpful, and were
always interested in what we were doing that day.
We arrived in Seattle about 12:30 pm - took
the LRT into downtown Seattle ($1) and then took a cab from the LRT to the
Mediterranean Inn ($10). This is a
kitchenette hotel, and was very busy with Cruisers.
We went for lunch at Mecca, just a block from the hotel. A very good place – they have small plate dinners, and I had turkey hot sandwich ($11).Back to the hotel to wash clothes – they have two washers and dryers – handy – and a nice waiting room in the lobby.
Then went at 8 pm for dinner – TS McHughs
Tavern – beef Guinness pot pit and Manny
draft beer ($35) – about two blocks from the hotel.
