Then, across the Town Square, there was a Church to
tour (The Pope is from Argentine – there
was a picture of him) and also an old Gaucho bar.
We arrived at the Ranch around 11am. You were taken into their barbeque house –
very hot, and then looked around the yard.
Wine and empanadas were served to us and then we went for a carriage
ride for about 40 minutes. You could
also take a horseback ride, but only at a walk.
Soybeans grow here.
At lunchtime, there was a horse show, and a horse whisperer. Lunch was barbeque and different salads, with wine. A very relaxing day… then back on the bus and return to the Brick Hotel (Tip $5).
For dinner, we went to Piegara, about two blocks
from the hotel. I had Argentine beef and
spinach stuffed ravioli - we found the beef chewy – with a glass of wine, and
there is a 25% tip advertised with the menu, so quite an expensive dinner
($50).
