South America cruise/Iguassu Falls -#10 - February 23 to April 2nd /2018...

Tuesday and Wednesday, March 6th  and 7th, were both sea days.  On Thursday, March 8th, the Ship docked at the Falkland Islands, and we all went ashore in the tender.
We went on the Holland America excursion Bertha’s Beach and Flatlands Wildlife ($129.95).   We got into a smaller van and travelled out to the Pacific Ocean to see penguins.  You walk right besides them – they are well used to man

The tour guide told us there was no free wi-fi,  internet was very expensive and very slow.
Falkland Islands belongs to England, so everything here is in the English pound, but they accept American money.  There is a gift shop here - you can buy a postcard, stamps and there is a mailbox in the store - send postcards home for about $2.

We went for fish and chips and British ale at the Globe Tavern, and then for a walk around in Port Arthur.

The wind blows really strongly here - some trees were bent over sideways from the wind - so be sure and dress up.
We took the tender back to the ship around 4 pm.  Falkland Islands is an endearing place.
